They were born to fight.
Created to win.
But the question remains...
Who's the real enemy?

When Sadie heads out for the night, she hardly expects to witness a murder--much less a murder committed by a dangerous vampire with a thirst for vengeance and destruction. Within a few hours, Sadie and her boyfriend Aaron are pulled into a violent vampire world. Searching for a way to survive, they know they must fight, but this might be a battle they just can't win.

A door slams open, startling me from my deep sleep. I shiver. It feels like Aaron is brushing a feather over my cheek. Blindly, I pat the side of the bed where he was lying. He’s still there, sleeping.
I don’t feel alone. I don’t think we are… I listen carefully for any foreign sound in the room. There’s a God-awful smell, like something crawled up somewhere and died.
I can hear heavy breathing by the door. There is someone else in our room.
“What the hell?” I try to shove Aaron awake.
I reach for the light, knocking down empty cans on the nightstand. The lights buzz as they warm up before turning on.
“Aaron!” I scream just as the lights come on and illuminate the horror in front me. My screams startle Aaron awake.
It’s the man from earlier this evening, the one whose crisp white fangs were dripping with blood. He’s in our room.
He’s here for me.
I’m next.
His eyes burn into my soul as if he's trying to control me.
“You are mine now,” the intruder says.
“This room is taken,” Aaron says as he rises from the bed and stands with his naked chest puffed out. He's just wearing his boxers. I'm wearing his white button-up shirt and my panties. It was the only thing I could find last night without turning on the lights.
“I can see,” the intruder says, raising his eyebrows at me. He rakes back his hair.
“It’s the man from the street!” My voice breaks as I yell. My heart races. I pull my legs up towards me and away from him, my hands trembling.
He cracks his neck sideways, leers at me, and steps forward, his eyes locked on mine, as if he’s an eagle hunting his prey.
“Dude. Get out of our room,” Aaron says angrily.
The man’s attention remains on me.
A bloodcurdling scream rips through the uncomfortable silence of our room. It sounded like it came from the room next door. Who's in there? What's happening? The need to get out of this room is overwhelming.
Our intruder smiles at the sound of the scream as if it's his favorite sound. My body is shaking as if I have been outside all night and the blood in my veins is frozen.
Aaron’s shoulders tense up as he stands in front of the man. “If you know what’s good for you, you’d leave.” He tries to push the intruder, but before Aaron can touch him, the intruder grips Aaron's forearms.
My heartbeat races. My heart feels like it’s going to explode. “Get off him.”
With one swift movement of the intruder’s wrist, Aaron is launched through the air. Aaron’s body crashes against a wooden wardrobe; splinters fly out as it crumbles under his weight. The remains of the wardrobe collapse forward, pinning Aaron to the floor. The movement is too quick to process. “Aaron!”
His hand is sticking out. Crimson blood drips down Aaron’s wrist.
The intruder’s head turns towards Aaron’s bloody hand so fast that it looks like his neck could break. His mouth opens, revealing his sharp white fangs. He lazily drags his tongue across his top lip.
This cannot be real. Vampires don’t exist.

Featured Book: New Order

Hello...

Hello, Hayley, welcome. So happy to have you here today, so let's get started. How long have you been a writer and how did you come to writing?
I've been writing for two and a half years. I had a story in my head and just couldn't get it out of my head. Since that day I've had more ideas everyday.

How did you come up with this storyline?
I liked the idea of a new twist on a vampire story, one in which the vampires aren't the really enemy, but the government is.

What are the best and the worst aspects of writing?
Best is getting lost in a world, researching new ideas. Worst is all the ideas! I really have too many, I could write a new book every day if I had time.

What inspires you to write?
Readers, I love reading reviews and reading how they enjoyed the adventure that I took them on.

How did you conduct your research for New Order?
I research locations, characters, and vampires.

What would your friends say is your best quality?
That I never give up.

Are reader reviews important to you?
That's why writers write, to entertainment readers.

What do you do when you don’t write?
I work as a designer, and in my free time  hang out with family and like watching movies.
Tell us about your other books? I've got a fun adventure time travel series, science fiction, thriller, I have a book for everyone.

If you could share one thing about yourself that you would like readers to know what would it be?
I'm hoping one day my dreams will come true and I will be a full time author living in Spain, enjoying time with my family.

Thank you so much for sharing a little piece of yourself with our readers and fans. We loved having you here today.
Happy reading.
Thank you
Hayley

Here's a sneak peak of Kassandra's Wolf:

Prologue

Emily awoke with tears streaming down her cheeks as she reached out to touch her husband, Marcus. Sensing her pain, he pulled her into his arms and held her close in his safe embrace.
“What’s wrong, my love?” he asked.
“A dream . . .” Emily said stopping herself from continuing. There were consequences for revealing the future. Good or bad, her mother had always stressed that she must always be careful with what she revealed to others. As much as she wanted to she couldn’t tell him she saw flames dancing over his body as they lay in bed and the sound of their twins crying. Seers like her didn’t often see when someone was expected to die. The closer a person was to them, the harder it was to see their future. If the strongest among her kind couldn’t predict their own death, how could she?
The look on his face told her he believed otherwise, but he didn’t press further. Years of marriage had taught him that she would always tell him what she could, when she could. Instead he lovingly stroked her back as he held her, promising to chase the bad dreams away.
Over the next few nights Emily was haunted by the same dream. Each time she awoke it was to find herself being held tightly in Marcus’s arms. She felt as if time was running out. Emily went to the library to write letters to her three-year-old twins, Damien and Hope. The Fates had given her a glimpse of her children’s future, giving her an opportunity to keep them safe. She wasn’t about to waste it. Damien and Hope had a rough road ahead of them. Emily had to make sure that she chose her words carefully.
She worried about Damien, the oldest of her twins, the most. Emily wished she could give him words of encouragement but had to worry about altering his future. As future pack alpha, his destiny not only affected him but every member of their pack. Hope, younger than him by just a few minutes, would blame herself. Their mates would have to be strong to help heal them.
“Mom!” she heard Damien scream as he ran down the hall to the living room.
Emily placed both letters in a small box, locking it before Damien came crashing into the room. With his dark, wavy hair and amber eyes framed by long, thick lashes he looked just like his father. His face scrunched up. “Mom, I didn’t mean to! It was an accident! Tell her to quit crying.”
Before Emily could question him, Hope entered the room, big tears flowing down her face. Her lower lip quivered as she held up her small hands, showing her the broken pieces of strings and beads of the bracelet she had been working on earlier. “Mom, he broke it. I told him it wasn’t for him and he broke it.”
“I didn’t mean to, I just wanted to see it,” Damien said, looking distressed at his sister’s tears.
Unlike her brother, Hope more closely resembled Emily, with her straight honey-blonde hair and pale complexion. The only resemblance between the two siblings was that they both had their father’s eyes. Before Emily could reply, Damien picked up some of the broken pieces. “I’ll fix it, I promise. Please don’t cry.”
Emily took them both by the hand and led them over to the desk. “Here, let me help you and we’ll have it fixed in no time.”
As she laid out the pieces she saw Damien trace the intricate design on her box. “Mom, what’s in the box?”

“It’s for you when you get older.” Damien smiled brightly at the idea of getting a present. She took the box from him and put it in the desk. “Now,” she smiled, “the first thing we need to do is get new string to replace the broken one.”

Sneak Peak: Violca's Vow

THE DRIVE TO LAZZARO’S took most the day and he pulled up to the gate right as the sun started to set. The guard behind the gate, obviously expecting him, just nodded to someone and the gate slowly opened. He noticed the guard was human and dressed more like a biker than one of his typical guards. So Chase wondered if this was one of the humans who hoped to become a vampire, or a friend of the wolf clan that guarded him.

The guard gestured for him to go up to the house before stepping out of his way. Driving up to the front of house, he parked his SUV in the driveway. The door opened before he could even knock, and he was surprised to see a young female werewolf greet him. The girl looked like walking sunshine when she smiled brightly at him. “You must be Chase. Lazzaro said you would be stopping by. He’s down the hall in his study.”

Pointing the way, she gave him one more smile before walking outside. Chase couldn’t help but watch her golden hair catching the sunlight and he noticed the guards outside eagerly trying to get her attention. She looked to be in her twenties but knew that, as with him, looks could be deceiving.

Shaking his head, he closed the door before going down the hall. A light coming from the open door led him to Lazzaro, who was sitting at a desk reading an old scroll.

“Please, Lazzaro, don’t concern yourself by standing up,” Chase said, taking one of the seats opposite him.

“I didn’t realize you were a woman and needed me to rise when you walked into a room, Dragon.” Lazzaro replied calmly, his head slowly rising his so that his icy blue eyes met his.

“Too bad. I made sure to dress extra nice for the occasion. You did work so hard to get me here and all.” Lazzaro smirked at his comment as he looked Chase over. In a pair of boots, black jeans, and a simple gray T-shirt, Chase almost felt underdressed sitting across from Lazzaro, who was always in a tailored suit.

“Don’t be too upset, Chase. I didn’t want you dead. I just wanted to have a discussion with your mate. I didn’t think you’d take my calls, so I had to think of an alternative. What’s the expression? No blood, no foul?”

Chase watched Lazzaro and had an urge to punch the smirk off his face. During that little skirmish, there was blood. No one was truly hurt, but there was blood when they fought to rescue Aithne’s sister Ally. The fight was over almost as quickly as it had begun. The longest fight was between Viktor and Lazzaro.

“Violca said you had some books you wanted her to look at,” Chase said, ready to begin the long drive back home.

Lazzaro got up and walked over to a large bookcase. Grabbing two older books, he walked across to Chase, who stood up to take them from him. Both books were very old; he could smell the real leather that had been used for the covers. The one on top looked like it had a family crest on the cover. “Be careful with those; they’re very delicate.”

Reaching into his jacket pocket, he handed Lazzaro the envelope with an invitation. “Violca wanted me to make sure you had a formal invitation to the wedding and the reception.”

Lazzaro took the envelope from him and set it on the desk. Leaning back, the two men eyed each other. “Will you be bringing the female wolf that just left?” Chase asked, curious about Lazzaro’s relationship with this particular clan of wolves whom he surrounded himself with.

Chuckling, Lazzaro shook his head. “No, I told your mate, I would be bringing a member of the guard and that would be it.”

“I’m curious how it is you come to be surrounded by so many wolves? These aren’t the same ones your father hired,” Chase asked, his curiosity getting the better of him.

The look Lazzaro gave him was one of surprise. Dragons and vampires usually avoided each other. One night when Chase was younger and getting into trouble, he ran into his father and his guards. Each werewolf had a tattoo on his face. That particular tattoo marked the werewolves as a clan from the south that was available for hire.

“They come because of the girl you saw leave here,” Lazzaro answered calmly.

Raising an eyebrow at the vague statement, Chase waited for him to continue. Letting out a long deep breath he responded, “I have a hard time picturing you dating that young wolf.”

Lazzaro chuckled softly and smirked, “I don’t know if I should be offended or not, Chase. Most women find me very attractive.”

Chase gave him a look and Lazzaro laughed out loud. “First, that young wolf was not as young as she looked. Hope is close to fifty years old, but don’t tell her I told you that.”

She barely looked to be twenty. Shifters aged like a normal person would, until their twentieth birthday. Once they hit twenty, the aging process slowed down. The fact that she looked even younger than she should piqued his interest more. “So, since the truce, you have sent Viktor a ton of information but haven’t mentioned your werewolves. Is there something you’re hiding?”

With a look that said he knew he was being manipulated, Lazzaro regarded him in silence for a moment before taking a seat on the other side of the desk. Chase fought the urge to smirk, as Lazzaro appeared to be contemplating exactly what he was going to tell him.
